DAY 1
ARRIVAL
Welcome to Tokyo! Today you will check in-to the hotel the group will be staying at. Should you intend to arrive today, we suggest that you fly into Tokyo-Narita International Airport (NRT).

After settling in from a long travel day, it's time meet your fellow travelers and get ready for the welcome dinner. Restaurant will be confirmed at a later date closer to depature.

ACTIVITY/MEAL Tsukiji Fish Market
Start the day early at one of the world's greatest fish markets, Tsukiji Fish Market. A food tour will include samples of some of the most delectable foods you can try at the market. While it is known for colorful variety of freshly cut sashimi, you can also find other street foods like tamagoyaki, ramen, mochi, dango, and so much more. You’d be doing yourself a diservice if you didn’t try at least something here!
ACTIVITY Meji Shrine
Immerse yourself in Japan's cultural legacy at Meji Shrine as you pass through the impressive nearly 40-foot tall gate that opens into serene grounds honoring Emperor Meiji and his consort. You will partake in the Shinto purification ritual by washing your hands, followed by witnessing the various rituals and prayers conducted in this sacred space.
ACTIVITY Shibuya Crossing
One of the most famous crossings, where 7 cross roads come together and the lights all turn red at the same time. Thousands of pedestrians then all cross at the same time in the middle of Tokyo buildings for a picturesque moment. Followed by free time to explore and shop within the area before deaparting back to the hotel.

ACTIVITY TeamLab Planets Museum
Wander the immersive exhibits within teamLab Planets TOKYO. Explore digital art installations that incorporate light, sound, and various materials, designed to engage and enchant all five senses. The museum features nine installations distributed over an area of 10,000 square meters. These large-scale installations are designed to be "body immersive," enabling visitors to engage with the art alongside fellow attendees.
ACTIVITY Street Go-kart Experience (Optional)
Buckle up and get ready to drive though the streets of Tokyo! You will have the opportunity to drive a go-kart through the iconic routes throughout the city dressed in your favorite character costumes inspired by Comics, Games, or Anime. This activity is a fully guided tour led by highly trained guides, who will ensure your safety and provide an exceptional experience. You will need to obtain your international driver's license in your departing country prior to your trip and will need it in order to participate in this activity. This activity may be split into two different groups due to the limited go-karts.
ACTIVITY/MEAL Shinjuku Evening Street Food Tour/Dinner
Embark on a fun foodie journey. You will immerse yourself in local delicacies that are typically not found elsewhere. The food items featured during this tour will predominantly consist of meat, with a selection of vegetable and seafood options. Please be aware that traditional Japanese cuisine often incorporates ingredients containing animal products and/or gluten, thus vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets cannot be accommodated.

ACTIVITY/MEAL Sushi Making Class/Lunch
Get ready to become a sushi-making expert and learn the artistry behind the craft. An isntructor will lead the class through a lesson on the history of sushi and will continue with a step by step class so you are able to curate your own. There are many different types of sushi in Japan, and the exact kind you will be confirmed closer to the date of the trip.
ACTIVITY Sunset Tokyo SkyTree Tour
The tallest building in the Japan that has the most breathtaking views of the city. Your visit will grant you access to two distinct levels of the SkyTree Tower: the Tembo Deck, located approximately 350 meters (1148 feet) above ground, and the Tembo Galleria, which is positioned at 450 meters (1476 feet) and features the exhilarating skywalk. Your visit will take place during sunset.

TRANSPORTATION
It's time to pack your bags and head to Tokyo Station, where you'll board the Shinkansen Bullet Train for a 2-hour and 40-minute ride to Kyoto. Upon arrival in Kyoto, we will transport you to your hotel for check-in. From there you can get accomodated and enjoy a day to explore the city and relax. On this train you may be able to see a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji.

ACTIVITY Higashiyama Area Visit
Explore the historical and cultural heart of Kyoto by strolling through the maintained streets of Kyoto, adorned with historically restored shops that showcase the city's rich heritage and lively history. Along this visit we will stop by Hokan-Ji Temple, which is the last remaining structure of a 6th-century temple. This site is a popular tourist attraction and is a beautifuls spot for a picturesque moment.
ACTIVITY Tea Ceremony and Kimono Experience
Get ready to enrich yourself in a traditional tea ceremony while getting the chance to dress in a kimono. You will have the opportunity to explore the history of the tea ceremony, its connection to Kyoto, and the etiquette associated with this traditional practice. Tea ceremony is a gathering to respect others and spend a relaxing time. In the course of the tea ceremony, participants will not only witness the preparation of matcha green tea but will also receive instruction from the tea master on how to create their own. The experience will involve the use of premium matcha powder, ensuring the production of an exquisite cup of green matcha. This activity may be split into two different groups due to the limited space and tools.

ACTIVITY Half Day Trip to Nara
Less than an hour train ride away from Kyoto, is the natural beauty, charming townscapes and National Treasures of Nara. Here you will have free time to explore the area, feed roaming deer, and indulge in some Japanese cuisine. During your excursion, a time will be given to the travelers to meet at Nakatanidou, a mochi shop where you can watch high-speed mochitsuki, in which the shop produces hundreds of pieces of warm mochi a day that are freshly made and warm from the pounding process. During your time in Nara, you will have time to grab lunch at your choice of local restaurants within the area.

After a lovely day exploring Nara, you will have time to get ready for the farewell dinner and say your goodbyes to your new travel friends.

Savor your last breakfast before continuing your journey. Transportation will take you from the hotel to the nearby airport. If you are leaving directly from the hotel, we suggest that you consider flying from Kansai International Airport (KIX).
